2-time MotoGP champion Casey Stoner will retire from V8 Supercars racing after only one season.
He was driving a Holden V8 Commodore in the V8 Dunlop Series from Triple Eight Motorsports.
His best finish was a fifth place in Race 3 at Ipswich.
Stoner said that he needs a breack from all the racing stress and will only drive one or two races in 2014.
The 27 years old driver was testing the current Honda MotoGP machine at Motegi. There were romours that he will comeback to MotoGP, but that’s unlikely to happen.
