Rebellion-Lotus Racing announced today that they will only participate at the Petit Le Mans in Road Atlanta in this year’s American Le Mans Series.
Actually Rebellion wanted to compete the full ALMS season with one car, then they said that they will only drive at Road America, Austin and Petit LM.
The reason for all that is that they are concetrating on their next year’s LMP1 car, the Oreca Rebellion R-One and they also want to focus on this years WEC, with a one car entry.
The drivers for that aren’t confirmed yet, but it looks like Beche/Belicchi/Prost will drive the Lola B12/60 Coupe with the Toyota engine.
That’s sad to hear, because i was really hoping for another great race at Road America in the P1 class (like 2011, 2012).
But now with Rebellion gone, it looks like Picket will run away with the win again and Dyson driving with Burgess/McMurry again, who weren’t really up to pace at Mosport.
