Sebatian Vettel dominated the Friday again.
Sebastian Vettel was in every sector quick but especially in Sector 2 the Red Bull was much faster than the competition.
The competition has to be better in Sector 2 to give Red Bull a real challenge for the Pole.
Mark Webber wasn’t so quick in FP1, but he is still a canidate for the Pole, if Vettel doesn’t get his Lap right.
It seems like the Double DRS from Red Bull brought the domination from last year back, so i think i will see the two Red Bull in the front row.
Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button weren’t so quick in both FPs, but they can make always a surprise and get Pole, especially Hamilton. Hamilton has done that surprise in South Korea last year, Button will not fight for the Pole, he is just to slow for that. Button will get a P3-P6 Position.
Ferraris new frontwing seemed not to make real diffrence in the perfomance or as testdriver Marc Gene said: no great Revolution. Alonso will be up front in Quali, but i don’t think that he has a real chance to get the Pole tomorrow. Massa was solid in FP1, in FP2 he was a little bit overmotivated and spun twice. If he doesn’t make to many mistakes or destroy his suspension (he destroyed his suspension twice last year in India) than he will get P6-P10 Position.
The new frontwing by Lotus was also no great Revolution. Kimi Raikkönnen- as ever, will make maximum attak tomorrow and could make a P4-P8 Position. Just like Grosjean. So i will not see any surprise by them if the weather conditions will stay dry.
Mercedes AMG Petronas:
Nico Rosberg was pretty fast in both FPs (P4 and P6), i think he has a decent chance to get a overall great Weekend if he has the same speed tomorrow and in the Race. I don’t see that Speed by Schumacher, of course he had a solid Friday (P8 and P13) but P8-P12 Positions are the Maximum Positions for Schumacher tomorrow.
The Buddh International Circuit doesn’t fit the Sauber C31 very well. Kamui Kobayashi and Sergio Perez weren’t fast as always in free practice. That why i will not see much potential in Qualifying for Sauber. Kobayashi P8-P15 and Perez P7-P13.
Sahara Force India:
The only Indian F1 Team was going well at their Home Track. In FP1 Paul Di Resta and Nico Hülkenberg were slow but in FP2 Hülkenberg was driving to 8th Position and made the Team more confedint for tomorrow. Di Resta has small Problems to get a really fast Lap at the Track so it will be very great if he get’s to Q2, otherwise the Positions for him are P9-P14. I see more potential for a good Startposition by Hülkenberg, who could get P8-P12 Positions- if the speed is the same as in FP2.
Daniel Ricciardo was much faster than Jean Eric Vergne in both FPs. Vergne must have good luck to come into Q2, so P12-P17 is realistic for Vergne. Ricciardo showed with P8 in FP1 again his talent. So with this speed we could see a Toro Rosso in the Top 10 Starting Grid.
P18 for Heikki Kovaleinen and P19 for Vitaly Petrov, i can’t say more about it.
Timo Glock and Charles Pic will be faster than HRT, if De la Rosa has a bad Qualifying. I think for Glock P20-23, for Pic it will be the same Positions.
Pedro De la Rosa is getting a better feeling for the car, you saw it in the FPs. He was faster than the Marussia, that why i think P20 -23 are realistic positions. Narain Kartikehyan P23-24, he is just to slow to get better Positions.
